Summer is here and it is time for some outdoor grilling!
Along with delicious summer BBQ food, it is important to always maintain a clean grill. Not only can a dirty grill be a major fire hazard, it can also put you and others at a health risk. Below are some natural cleaning hacks that are quick and easy for maintaining a clean grill.
Five quick easy tips for cleaning your BBQ Grill:
Baking soda and vinegar: Soaking the grill grates in vinegar and baking soda is a good way to remove any leftover food. Both ingredients help break down what is burnt-on.
Onion: Cut an onion in half, use the moist/open faced side and put on a hot grill after, use prongs or fork and clean the grill with onion. The juices from the onion will create steam and remove any debris.
Steam clean: Turn on the grill to 600 degrees Fahrenheit, then turn off the source. Fill a tin with water and place on grill grates. Close the lid and let the water steam for at least 30 minutes. Lat step is to scrub off food buildup.
Coffee cleaner: Soak grill and utensils in coffee for the hard-to-remove remains. The acid in the coffee loosens up the caked-on food or dirt.
After cleaning tip: Heat your BBQ after cleaning: Turn back on for 10-15 minutes to burn off any residue leftover from the cleaning.
